Wild Service: Standing for the Earth

For those of us on earth-centred spiritual paths, it's impossible not to care deeply about the ecological crises we all face. However, often our spiritual paths and our connection with the natural world can be divorced from the crises going on with regards to the environment. In the modern world, consumerism has become pervasive, and unfortunately, our spiritual endeavours can often focus on what we can get rather than what we can give.

Within Spiritual Rewilding, we discuss the concept of Wild Service, and how we can weave our spiritual practice and connection with direct action and efforts for protecting the environment. It's important to remember that in traditional earth wisdom all around the world, a central philosophy is that we are interconnected and interdependent with the rest of the living world. So it's essential that we reweave this into our efforts to protect the environment, centering our message on the interconnectedness of all things, and our positive visions for change and a world that we want to create.

This is where we can bring our spiritual gifts and connection into campaigns, and offer a voice for the other than human, in supporting direct action and efforts for change. By doing so, we can become better allies and build stronger connections with the spirits of nature. It's a way of giving back and being of service to nature.

In the Spiritual Rewilding course, we explore ways that we can weave our spiritual connection with direct actions to help our environment and look to heal the relationship that we have with the natural world. We learn how to take actions that are in alignment with our spiritual path and beliefs, and to offer our time and energy in support of environmental protection and preservation efforts.

By combining our spiritual practices with direct action for the Earth, we can not only make a tangible difference in the world, but we can also experience the benefits of wild service for ourselves. Taking action in service of nature can be deeply satisfying, and can strengthen our spiritual connection with the natural world.
