Growing Together: Inside the Spiritual Rewilding Community of Practice
In these times, the journey toward a more connected, earth-based spirituality can often feel isolating. The Spiritual Rewilding Community of Practice was created to change that—a free, welcoming space for those who have taken part in the Spiritual Rewilding online course to gather, support each other, and share the journey. Here, you’ll find encouragement and the chance to deepen your connection to the land in the company of likeminded souls. It’s a place where we come together, building real friendships and sharing what it means to live a spiritually grounded life.
Why We Needed a Community of Practice
In Spiritual Rewilding, we talk often about the “sickness of disconnection”—the way we, as a society, have become disconnected from the land, from each other, and even from our own inner lives. The journey of Spiritual Rewilding is all about addressing this wound and finding ways to heal it. For many of us, reconnecting with the land and our own wild selves is a call to come back into belonging. The Spiritual Rewilding online course helps us do this work, and this community is here to carry it forward, offering a way to continue healing and learning together, and in doing so rebuild that connection with community.
Community-Built, Together
The Community of Practice didn’t come out of nowhere—it’s been built by the community itself. Over the past few months, people who’ve taken part in the course have come together to help shape this space, bringing their voices and ideas about what a true community of practice should look like. What’s emerged is a community that meets real needs for connection and support, where each member contributes to making it meaningful.
How It Works: Practices, Challenges, and Seed Pods
Our Community of Practice is a space for ongoing growth and connection, with seasonal practices, challenges, and small accountability circles (or “seed pods”) to keep us engaged and inspired.
Wild Wisdom Circle
We hold regular gatherings where we connect as a whole community from around the world to share our experiences with the land and working with the practices from the course. These circles are an opportunity to come together, reflect on any challenges we’re exploring, and hear from others on similar paths. Each gathering offers something fresh, with new practices, lessons, and a wider range of topics to deepen our understanding and connection. The Wild Wisdom Circles are evenings of shared insight and inspiration, where we can explore what it means to live a spiritually grounded life in community with others.
Seasonal Practices and Challenges
Throughout the year, we take on practices and challenges that help us continue to embed the approaches of Spiritual Rewilding into our lives and spiritual path. These are rooted in the modules we explore in the course and are designed to help us bring those approaches into our lives in a way that feels natural and meaningful. By exploring new ways to connect with the land, we’re encouraged to stretch ourselves, and in doing so, discover deeper layers of connection, understanding and wisdom.
Seed Pods
Our “seed pods” are smaller circles within the larger community, where people connect regularly to support each other in a more personal way. These groups are places for sharing stories, trying out practices, and reflecting on the journey together. In these circles, we build friendships and encourage each other’s growth, creating a sense of belonging that’s deeply supportive. There’s something about being able to speak openly with people who are on the same path that just brings everything to life.
A Safe and Supportive Environment
One of the core values of this community is creating a space where people feel safe and supported. The Community of Practice is hosted on a secure platform, and we have shared agreements to ensure that everyone can participate comfortably. There’s no pressure to share if you’re not ready—you’re welcome to simply be present and see what others are doing, and even that can be deeply inspiring. You can engage in a way that feels right for you, whether it’s sharing your own journey, cheering others on, or quietly reflecting.
Connecting with Each Other and the Land
At its heart, this community is about connection—connection with each other and connection with the land. The journey of Spiritual Rewilding becomes even more powerful when we also connect with each other, with people who understand the call to live in a grounded, connected way. The support and inspiration we find in each other help us to go further in our practice.
All those who have been part of the Spiritual Rewilding Online course before are automatically part of the Community of Practice - just log into the online course platform, and select “Spiritual Rewilding - Community of Practice” to enter the community platform.
Looking Forward to January 2025
The next Spiritual Rewilding course begins in January 2025, and all new participants will be welcomed into this Community of Practice, as a place to share your experiences and connect with others. Within the course, you will have the opportunity also to form new Seed Pods, so that you can support one another in learning and applying the new practices.
If you feel the call to deepen your connection to the land and find support from others on this path, we invite you to join us on this course to explore, connect, and create a life that feels more rooted in the wild spirit of the land.
